From 1947 to Today: A Timeline of Growth and Dedication

For over 75 years, N. Lacroix Plumbing and Heating has been a cornerstone of quality service and innovation in Timmins, Ontario. Through three generations of family leadership, strategic growth, and an unwavering commitment to teamwork, we have evolved alongside the community, delivering exceptional service to residential, commercial, and industrial clients.   • 1947:
    Noel Lacroix establishes N. Lacroix Plumbing and Heating in Timmins, Ontario, focusing on installing water-based heating and cooling systems in northern Ontario schools.

  • 1950s-1970s:
    The company expands its services, providing plumbing and heating solutions for new homeowners and businesses as the Timmins area grows.

  • 1980s:
    Noel's sons Bernie, Rick, and son-in-law Gerry take over the business. They acquire L’Ecuyer Tin Shop, enabling the company to fabricate its own sheet metal products for HVAC systems and expand into mechanical contracting.

  • 2000s:
    Pierre (Peter) Lacroix, Noel’s grandson, takes over operations after growing up in the business, helping on job sites since the age of twelve.

  • 2008:
    N. Lacroix Plumbing and Heating wins the Nova Award for the best company in the 6-49 employees category.

  • Present Day:
    The company now provides services in plumbing, hydronics, heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and sheet metal fabrication. We recently completed a building refurbishment and shop extension to house new fabricating tools, supported by a community improvement grant.
